Real Estate SEO Link Building is only a very small part of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and is only a fraction of what’s involved in building a successful online business. Most of my Real Estate SEO clients will ask me, “How do I build page rank?” My response is to have an original site that is constantly being updated. On an average, an enterprise site is adding over one page of content per day. For many years webmasters have used link building campaigns to artificially boost their position in search engines. During this time, techniques such as mirroring your sites were used. Mirroring occurs when you copy your content throughout many sites. This is a sure way to get blacklisted. Another common technique people have used is hiding test. People may not be able to see it, but robots sure do. In this day and age, it is more important to use other techniques SEO Link Building, because search engines have become more sophisticated and will downgrade your site if you are not careful.

SEO Link Building Techniques

If you want your site to become indexed quickly, you want to make sure you have dozens of pages of related content. Google and other major search engines place websites on top of the list if their content is exclusively related to a theme. For instance, I try to relate this site to Real Estate SEO. I focus 80% of my content on Search Engine Optimization techniques that work well in the Real Estate industry. You want to build a natural website. Most Real Estate websites come from a company that uses what is called a “boiler plate” template. The same template is copied among several thousand websites across the world. It is far more cost efficient to pay the extra money up front and design a natural and original site. OptiTrex went from a PR0 to a PR4 in 92 days using this technique. The site did not use link building techniques, but had hundreds of pages of relevant content pertaining to SEO Link building in the Real Estate industry. If I were to recommend focusing on any single Search Engine Optimization technique, it would be adding relevant content everyday.

When you do add web pages, it is very important to focus on the names of your pages. For instance, this page is called SEO-Link-Building. Search Engines consider hyphens a space. It is very important not to use more than 4 hyphens as this is considered unnatural, and you could be targeted as spamming content. If you ever consider going with a company that can promise you first page position within a certain number of days, be very careful. Most companies can get you there, but the art of SEO is to maintain those positions over time. Only 3% of people even click past the third link in any given search, so if you are past the third link will have great difficulty drawing in natural traffic.

SEO Link Building Campaign

Once you do get your website indexed by Google, then it is a good time to start your SEO Link Building campaign. You must start choosing keyword phrases you feel people would type in the search engines to find your website. For instance, if you are a Denver Real Estate agent, Denver Real Estate may be a good keyword. Here is where you must be careful. If you do a Google search for “Denver Real Estate”, you will find over 65 million results. This is an extremely competitive market and will take you years to obtain a top 3 position. Instead, choose similar words that target less than 2 million results. You can find great keywords to use through Alexa Tools for Webmasters and Overture Keyword Analyzer. Next you want to create an e-mail template that contains the Title, URL, and Description of your site. The title will be hyperlinked with your URL. Here is where you want to match keywords with content. If you have a page that uses “Denver Real Estate” all over, then I would recommend hyper linking to this page. It all makes a huge different in the Real Estate SEO world.

Finally, you want to start sending your link out to thousands of industry related websites. Personally, I feel that SEO Elite is a great tool to help you find sites related to your industry. You can run a backline analysis, density analysis (less than 20% keywords on a single page), reciprocal linking campaigns, and find out what your competition is doing to get them top position. Remember, this approach takes weeks, if not months to start seeing results. Many agents will give up after a couple weeks, and it is hard work, but it is extremely necessary to start building value in the search engines. When a website links with you, I typically will only link with PR1 or higher pages that have less than 100 outgoing links. This technique will ensure that you are getting some value because all the sites are taking a percentage of that page rank.
